Principal

Mr. D.G. Sumanasekera B.Sc., Dip. Ed., took the reins as the first Principal of Vidura College, Colombo, on January 27, 1999. In his capacity as Principal, Mr. Sumanasekera is responsible for the overall management of the School. He is assisted by a Board of Directors comprising of several eminent educationalists and management leaders in Sri Lanka.

As the CEO, his responsibility to assure a sustainable development in the performance of the School and of Shikshana Educational Investments and Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, a company embarking into several other areas of activities in the field of education.

A graduate of the University of Ceylon, Mr. Sumanasekera holds a Diploma in Education in the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura, Sri Lanka. He possesses long and wide experience as the Chief Editor of Educational Publications Department, Principal of Nalanda and Mahanama Colleges in Colombo, Sri Lanka and as Principal of the Sri Lankan International School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and as a Master Teacher at Government Secondary School, Daura, Nigeria.His experience as an Examiner of the West African Examinatios Council an his contribution to the activities of the Examination Department of Sri Lanka is an asset in preparing students for public examinations.
